QUALITY POLICY STATEMENT
Kenya National Highways Authority is committed to provision of safe, quality and adequate national trunk road network for sustainable socio-economic development for Kenya and the Region.
In pursuit of this, the Authority shall satisfy applicable requirements and continually improve the effectiveness of the Quality Management System in accordance with ISO 9001: 2015. We shall also ensure QMS is integrated in our business processes and promote the use of the process approach and risk-based thinking;
Top Management shall review this policy on a need basis/as necessary/based on the circumstances and quality objectives on an annual basis.
This quality policy which is compatible with the context of KeNHA is communicated, understood and applied within KeNHA and is available to relevant interested parties as appropriate.
OUR CORE FUNCTIONS
Constructing, upgrading, rehabilitating and maintaining roads under its control;
Controlling National trunk roads and road reserves and access to roadside developments;
Implementing road policies in relation to National trunk roads;
Ensuring adherence to the rules and guidelines on axle load control prescribed under the Traffic Act and under any regulations under the Kenya Roads Act, 2007;
Ensuring that the quality of road works is met; Collecting and collating data related to the use of National trunk roads;
Preparation of road works programmes for all National trunk roads;
Monitoring and evaluating the use of National trunk roads;
Planning the development and maintenance of National trunk roads;
Advising the Cabinet Secretary for Transport and Infrastructure on all issues relating to National trunk roads;
Liaising and co-ordinating with other road authorities in planning and on operations; and
Performing such other functions related to the implementation of the Kenya Roads Act, 2007 as may be directed by the Cabinet Secretary Transport and Infrastructure.
